Virtual Museum Tours: ETH Zurich Mars Part 1 - Good to Know
ETH Zurich's focusTerra museum presents a three-part video tour of Mars as well as a Mission to Mars-Webvideo, exploring what we know about the structure and dynamics of a planet with many similarities to our own.
The videos have been created by focusTerra, the Earth & Science Discovery Center of ETH Zurich, which is dedicated to communicating on Earth, planetary and other natural sciences. Visitors can explore geological phenomena - from short term to millions of years in the making – such as earthquakes and volcanoes, to the formation of gems, fossils and planets - as well as the critical issues of climate change and energy use that are affecting us today.
Come and take a virtual tour of the three levels of the museum's permanent exhibition and check out the current special exhibition on “Waves - Dive in!”. You can also be part of the creation of an online exhibition about your favourite rocks, fossils and shells: www.travelstones.ethz.ch. Come and travel the world with focusTerra!
Additionally, ETH Senior researcher Dr Simon Stähler has prepared on online class on Mars and will be hosting a live Q&A session on his presentation:
