Cybersecurity Forum

National University of Singapore IT organized a 2-day inaugural event on 4 – 5 April 2018. The Forum saw an esteemed attendance by CIOs and CISOs from six other IARU universities - Australian National University, University of Cape Town, University of Copenhagen, ETH Zurich, Peking University and University of Tokyo. NUS’ Chief IT Officer Mr Tommy Hor spoke on cybersecurity landscape and governance at NUS in his keynote. All representative institutions shared cybersecurity practices in their respective universities’ context and countries. The meeting agreed on follow-up actions in several areas of collaboration, including joint development of KPIs and benchmarks; formation of virtual teams; creation of a shared online platform as well as provision of contact points for specific issues.

The second Forum was held at the University of Cape Town on 3-5 April 2019.

The next Cybersecurity Forum will take place on 13-15 June 2023 at ETH Zürich.

The registration for the Annual IARU Cybersecurity forum meeting in Copenhagen on 25-27 June is open.
